DONATIONS
In the US, yes. Sahaita is registered as non-profit 501(c)(3) (Tax ID 42-1659410)
In Canada, no. We are not able to provide tax-deductible receipts at this time. If you need an official receipt for the confirmation of your donation, please email canada@sahaita.org
Yes. If you are using a credit card or PayPal you can pick a specific project from the dropdown menu.
Sahaita does not accept any clothing donations to send to India.

There are multiple ways for you to lend your helping hand!
- Set up your AmazonSmile account so that 0.5% of your purchases are donated to Sahaita
- Check if your employer participates in a Corporate Gift Matching program
- Volunteer your time by signing up for activities in your area. Sign up here
- Submit a Project Proposal if you have a project idea you’d like to implement through Sahaita
- Have a small business? Email info@sahaita.org to request your countertop donation box today or suggest a collaboration/fundraising idea
PROJECTS & IMPACT
As a 100% volunteer run organization, we have no paid employees. We aim to keep administrative and overhead costs to a minimum (~1%), and have been lucky enough to have donors/sponsors cover many of those costs.
Sahaita encourages all donors to visit our project sites in India. Please email info@sahaita.org to coordinate.
Sahaita does not facilitate adoptions and has no visibility into adoption processes. However, Bal Ghar (an orphanage in Ludhiana that Sahaita supports) is a CARA-approved adoption agency through the Swami Ganga Nand Bhuriwale International Foundation. Please direct all Bal Ghar adoption related inquiries to Kuldip S. Mann of Bal Ghar.

Sahaita’s legal charter only allows for projects related to health and education. Our ad-hoc humanitarian relief projects are pursued from a health and/or education perspective. Please email info@sahaita.org with details of the person/people who need help and we will see if it aligns.
