In addition to large scale education projects such as SMART schools, St. Kabir Academy, and school renovations after the Punjab floods, Sahaita is committed to uplifting the youth by offering individual need-based scholarships. Recipients may have grown up in less than ideal environments and had personal circumstances that put them at a disadvantage compared to their peers. Nevertheless, they worked hard and achieved high scores, empowering them to one day give back to the villages that raised them.

Higher education, although a basic standard for many in India, is still out of reach for many others without the right resources or family assistance. It is still common in rural areas for education to be sacrificed when parents have to decide between school or feeding the family. Imagine accepting the fact from a young age that you may only be able to finish middle or high school, then finding out you can complete a Bachelor’s Degree, a Master’s Degree, or even a PhD with a helping hand. 

Since inception, Sahaita has sponsored the education of over 1,900 unique individuals who beat every odd and are on their way to success, whatever meaning that holds for them and their families.
