"I am a teacher in Paradise, CA. I helped students evacuate on the frightening day of the Camp Fire. Many teachers lost their classrooms and homes to the fire. All of my students lost their homes. Our school was sent to a temporary location until the summer and then we were moved back up to Paradise. Sahaita's generosity helped us to convert an old intermediate school into a wonderful elementary school! I was so moved when supplies, curriculum, and classroom decor started to arrive! Representatives of this wonderful charity drove all the way to Paradise to check on us. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done to help us create a healing environment for our students as they move forward after this tragedy." - Deanna Holman
"For the past 4 years, Sahaita has been a tremendous supporter in St. Mary's Dining Room's mission to serve 3 hot meals each day to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and poverty in the community. Sahaita has generously sponsored many delicious meals for our guests. In addition, they volunteered regularly to helo our small team in serving the meals directly to the guests we serve. Sahaita takes the time to help and ask what our kitchen needs are, to search and purchase these essential items throughout the year - including during COVID-19."
"I have known the great work done by this org for many many years now. My recent experience with them came during the early days of the Covid-19. They approached people offering critical stuff including food and PPE supplies for the critical workers. I had no place to get my hands on N95 masks. Sahaita volunteers had published their hotline for the needy, with just one call I was provided with the masks. They have served the communities everywhere they could reach. God bless the volunteers doing selfless service/seva." - P.S. Sandhu
"Recipients are mainly families who do not have the means to buy baby clothes for their newborn including those who are newly immigrated, homeless, impacted by the economy, unemployed and are in need. Many are unable to obtain items for their baby and these baby clothes are the one item we are able to provide. They are grateful to your donors donations of baby clothes. It is much appreciated."
